When I say it’s not about the physical, I’m talking appearance people! I know, I know, it’s easy for you to say Beast, you weigh like 85 pounds soaking wet. This is the typical response I get when I try to help people see their ways. Guess what? As much as you worry about and struggle with losing weight I do the same with gaining. Everyone has their issues with their physical appearance. I get upset that I have a rack of a 12 year old (yea I went there) As a matter of fact, there are many 12 year olds with a bigger rack than me. My point is this, we all have our problems but you also need to accept there are some things that can’t be changed and you need to love yourself. If you can’t love yourself how can you possibly expect someone else to love you.
We live in a society where the physical expectations of women are unrealistic. There aren’t very many size 0 women in this world. Speaking as a size 0 woman, shopping sucks. Most companies don’t even make dresses in a size 0, if I ever get married my wedding dress is going to be taken in at least 2 sizes. Is that the ideal? Is that what women want? To go through a hassle because you want to be a size 0.
Ladies, listen to me when I tell you this, most men like curves. It’s the truth, and in order to have curves there needs to be fat on those bones. I might have a small chest as I said before but I’ve got a pretty big booty for a skinny girl and I LOVE IT!! I embrace it. I shake what my momma gave me. It makes me a woman! My ladies at the gym complain about the booties and my reaction is WHAT?!? I’m all about the booty! The bigger the better. (I’m in the process of getting my booty bigger.) Can you tell I’m a booty enthusiast?!? :)
Here’s my point, this goes for the ladies just as much as the guys, accept what you have. Don’t obsess over the number on the scale, it doesn’t matter. If you physically feel good about yourself, you feel healthy and energized then why care what the scale says? The scale is the enemy! It’s just there to bring down your self esteem ( just like those skinny Minnie’s on the cover of every magazine) and to make you spend money. So many women tell me they haven’t lost weight and my response is: have you measured yourself? Your body can undergo so much change and you won’t lose a single pound. I lost 3 inches total during a 30 day diet challenge and didn’t lose a pound. Stop stressing your physical appearance and start stressing your health. That’s what’s more important! Stay healthy not skinny :)
