Beach then WOD, BOOM!
Went down to the beach with some of my crossfit girlies today. Two of them wodded before we went down the shore (wish I knew they were doing that because I wouldve loved to WOD before laying out in all that sun). Me and one of the girls wodded after we got back. The beach was nice, sun was beaming, and many drunk girls to make fun of lol.

Been getting a lot of compliments lately, especially today about how “jacked” and muscular I look. I call this WINNING at its finest lol. Operation: Beast Mode in full effect!
Today's Workout
Warm up:
6 count burpees, 50 reps
WOD:
AMRAP in 12 min of:
Deadlifts, 5 reps
Box Jumps, 10 reps
Height and weight to be determined and was meant to be a heavy day.
I did 135lb deadlifts and 28’ box jumps
Completed: 6 rounds
Paleo Grainless Granola Bar Recipe
It came out delicious so here is the recipe as promised :)
Ingredients:
1 cup of almond meal
1 cup of almonds
3/4 cup pumpkin seeds
3/4 cup sunflower seeds
2 cups shredded coconut
3/4 cup raw honey
1/2 cup coconut oil
splash of vanilla extract
4-5 shakes of cinnamon
1. Mix the almonds, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds together in a bowl

This Guy
So I had this guy join me for a workout on Saturday. The workout was 10 kettlebell swings 70/55 and 5 bar muscle ups 10 rounds for time with a 25 minute cap. 70 pounds was the kettlebell weight for men and 55 pounds for women. If you couldn’t do the bar muscle ups the progression was 10 pull ups and 10 dips.
Ok so this guy was able to do strict pull ups and coach had him doing 55 pound...

Just a Thought
Whenever I go and have me time (mani/pedi) they always the cooking channel on. So now that I’ve been paleo for about a year now when I watch these shows my stomach is doing flips from seeing the amount of butter, sugar, salt, etc that they use while cooking. The people I work out with are ABSA-FREAKING-LUTELY AMAZING!!! They know where I have come from, what my weaknesses are and where I am now, which makes it that much more special when people compliment me on the hard work I put into my workout. This woman truly describes someone who’s got heart and doesn’t quit when the going gets tough. She did this entire workout (20cal row and 30 burpees not shown) with a dislocated right shoulder. A Small Victory
A small victory but a victory nonetheless. After being at the Northeast Regional Tryouts I came to the big realization that 1. I can totally be there one day and 2. I have a lot of work to do. With that said today’s workout was “Nate” my coach’ s favorite WOD and one involving muscle ups and handstand pushups, two of the most difficult moves (at least for me) in crossfit.

So I decided that I needed to slow myself down during certain workouts. Today’s WOD was 3 rounds for time of 50 double unders and 25 wallball shots “2 for 1” I did this WOD with a 20lb vest on. Bad, bad, and then horrible!
I worked out yesterday and was too sore to even finish the workout. Back squat for 3 rep max and I only got through my second working set. Today was “Fran” and of course I had to do it but I wasn’t feeling 100% I took my time and went through each thruster one at a time. The pull ups actually felt great but when I got back to the bar to start my set of 15 thrusters it hurt like...

So I want to take pictures, video, and do the workout myself tonight. Not quite sure how to go about making it all happen but I will make it all happen :) I think maybe I should go and take video during the 5pm class, do the workout at 6pm and recover during our on-ramp at 7pm and take pictures at 8pm. More Water!
I need to drink more water, I barely had a bottle of water today and this is NO BUENO! I don’t know what it is but it’s very easy for me to neglect drinking water. Ugh, it’s annoying and I see the negative side effects of not drinking enough water, lots of headaches. BOOOOOO!
